About Me

I'm a 15-year-old from Elkton, VA, currently training Ashley Holsinger at Memories Hill Stables. Riding has become a cornerstone of my life, teaching me discipline, resilience, and the importance of hard work paying off.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my riding journey has been working with my current horses. Podcast, affectionately known as Kermit, is a 13-year-old gelding with extensive experience in the 3'0"-3'6" equitation. I am leasing him to learn the ropes of the 3'3" equitation division. He’s a quiet, lazy kick ride, which has taught me to refine my seat and develop a balanced, patient style. Historian, or Hammy, is a 7-year-old gelding who transitioned from the jumper ring to the hunters shortly before I purchased him. Though currently recovering from an injury, Hammy has been a rewarding partner and will return for the winter circuit at WEC Ocala. I also work with my little sister’s 6-year-old pony, La Pepita, known as Coco. Training Coco has been an incredible experience, from putting lead changes on her to taking her to her first horse shows.
My proudest accomplishments include competing in the VHSA Medal Finals and earning a Zone HOTY ribbon in the Younger Children’s division. I also had the privilege of helping my sister’s pony through its green year, ultimately taking her to Pony Finals.
Beyond riding, I’m a student at Laurel Springs with a 3.74 GPA. I currently take honors courses and plan to start AP classes in my junior year. My long-term goal is to pursue a degree in business, which would allow me to combine my love of horses with the skills needed to operate a successful barn. I am especially interested in learning the behind-the-scenes work involved in running a top-tier equestrian facility.
When I’m not riding or studying, I enjoy traveling, listening to music, cooking, playing piano, and spending time with friends. I’m also grateful to share this journey with my 13-year-old sister, who rides as well. We encourage each other, cheer one another on, and motivate each other to grow in the sport.
I look forward to continuing my riding career in college, where I can be part of a team environment, further develop my skills, and represent a university while earning a degree. Riding has always been an essential part of my life, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next.
